Kirinene Ngueelne is a new weekly chat show presented by DJ Mac (Macaire Ndiaye). Each week, DJ Mac invites a new Seereer/Senegambian personality to chat about their life and work (similar to our old Cosaan Seereer programme). This show - which is broadcast in Seereer goes out every Saturday from 16:00 to 17:00 GMT. You can also listen to DJ Mac on Setsima which goes out every Saturday from 17:00 - 18:00 GMT - right after Kirinene Ngueelne. Setsima is broadcast in Wolof and follows the same format as Kirinene Ngueelne. DJ Mac can also be heard on Jeetaay which now goes out every Thursday from 21:00 GMT.
On this show, DJ Mac chats with the legendary Seereer artist Simon Sene - generally referred to as the ambassador of Seereer culture. Simon and band were holding an event at the Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (French: Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar (UCAD)). DJ Mac also got to interview some of Simon's band members and the organisers of the event. This show is broadcast in Seereer (Seex (pronounced Seeh)) and in Wolof.

Today is election day in Senegal and results are coming out fast. Senior broadcaster Tamsier Joof hosts a special edition of Open Mike from our London studio joined by our field journalists in Senegal namely: Macaire Ndiaye (DJ Mac), Ousseynou Sow, Doudou Thiane, Alex Sagna, Fatou Dieng, Dame Ndiaye. Roundup and more results! Incumbent - President Macky Sall also gives his reactions to this presidential election. Although more results are due to come out, and the official results are not expected until next Friday, 1st March 2019, Tamsier "confirms" that Macky Sall has won. All our official documents regarding this election has been posted on Seereer Radio's Facebook. Tamsier also discusses the impact of "Macky's victory" on the Senegalese people.
