Please note that not all our transcripts are free. We make a lot of effort in providing you free content here and our other online platforms. However, we are also trying to raise money in order to continue doing what we do, but most importantly, to honour the legacy of the late Professor Issa Laye Thiaw by building a Seereer learning and cultural centre and museum that will teach Seereer religion, culture, history and traditional medicine to those who wish to learn. This project is known as The Seereer Resource Centre and The Temple of Initiated Women (SCRTIW). You can visit the SRC's website to learn more about this project. Along with that, we also need to raise funds in order to increase economic development in Seereer country. We are the only media platform in the Senegambia region and on the internet that gives Seereer religion and other Traditional African religions any airtime and a positive, yet objective, non-discriminatory coverage. This is not an easy task especially within the Senegambia which is predominantly Muslim and Christian according to statistics. It is a very lonely job but as Professor Issa Laye Thaiw used to say: "the truth must come out" , and as our founder Tamsier Joof used to say: "One cannot love Seereer history and culture yet despise Seereer religion. Seereer history and culture are closely linked to Seereer religion and cannot be separated from it. The true history and culture of the Seereer people is embedded in Seereer religion. And in similarity, the true history and culture of the African people is embedded in the Traditional African religions. To truly understand and appreciate our great history and culture, we must first love, respect and honour the religion of our forefathers in its orthodox form, free from any syncretism or dilution."
