On this special show, Tamsier Joof is joined by Macaire Ndiaye (DJ Mac) to discuss the rape case of Gambian Foreign Affair senior officer and lawyer Melville Robertson Roberts accused of rape by 5 independent women. For 2 years (from 2019), his friends in power - including the political elite, those in law/judiciary, as well as sections of the Gambian media have tried to protect him and bury the case instead of bringing it to trial. The Gambian authorities are so fearful of bringing him to justice that they declared the case "untouchable" despite the numerous testimonies and evidence presented by his victims. For 2 years, his victims have been denied justice. On this special show, Tamsier Joof is joined by Moussoukoro Sidibé, Laity Sene and Khady Basse (commonly known as Kambul) to celebrate Seereer Radio's first anniversary. Yes! Seereer Radio is 1 year old today. Although founded on 16th November 2015, it was officially launched on 5th January 2016. Join us as we celebrate our forth anniversary - looking back at our journey from our first broadcast to the present. This is the last ever show of Tamsier Joof (our founder) as Director of Programmes. Laity Sene is Seereer Radio's new Director of Programmes. On this show, the panel also took the opportunity to ask Laity about the new changes he will be implementing as new Director. We thank Tamsier for his years of service and wish him farewell. We would also like to congratulate Laity on his new position and wish him the very best of luck.

Today is election day in Senegal and results are coming out fast. Senior broadcaster Tamsier Joof hosts a special edition of Open Mike from our London studio joined by our field journalists in Senegal namely: Macaire Ndiaye (DJ Mac), Ousseynou Sow, Doudou Thiane, Alex Sagna, Fatou Dieng, Dame Ndiaye. Roundup and more results! Incumbent - President Macky Sall also gives his reactions to this presidential election. Although more results are due to come out, and the official results are not expected until next Friday, 1st March 2019, Tamsier "confirms" that Macky Sall has won. All our official documents regarding this election has been posted on Seereer Radio's Facebook. Tamsier also discusses the impact of "Macky's victory" on the Senegalese people. Join Tamsier tomorrow night for another edition of Open Mike where he delves deeper into the political impact of "Macky's victory." He will be joined by members of the Seereer Radio team.
