Mpatir Ayif (to exchanging ideas) is an informal but educational open phone-in, e-mail and text-in discussion show where you (the listener) participate by asking and answering questions set by other listeners. Find out the answers to questions you always wanted to know. For example have you always wanted to know what our ancestors used to use in order to build their homes before the advent of cement? What do the colours of the Senegalese flag represent? What does the flag of Siin symbolises? What is the meaning and etymology of the words: Seereer, Saafi, Ndut, Sili, Noon or Laalaa or Ñoominka? Etc.
On this show, anything goes. You set the questions and answer them. No question is stupid. If it is important to you it is important to us. On this first ever Mpatir Ayif show, Tamsier Joof, joined by Laity Sene, Demba Sene and Moussoukoro Sidibé asks whether President Adama Barrow fit to lead The Gambia? Tamsier's question sparked controversy with his colleague Laity Sene. Whose team are you on?

Additional information : With regret, the second portion of this show was not recorded. We thought it was being recorded but it was on pause. This was a mistake on our side to which we sincerely apologise for. Even worst, the second part was when we had a detailed interview with Sukai Dahaba (X) where she gave a detailed account regarding her traumer in the hands of Yayah Jammeh's enablers when she was captured as part of the 9th May 2016 demonstrators in The Gambia. In that portion she also mentioned some of Jammeh's enablers. We apologise for this error on our part and will endeavour our utmost to bring Sukai Dahaba on the show again for a more detailed interview. In the meantime, you can check out all our audio interviews with Sukai by scrolling through our categories and selecting Sukai's own category titled : "Sukai Dahaba (X) : Leader of the Kaalama Revolution". Obituary of Fatou Gueye
Towards the end of this show, the celebratory mood changed when we found out that the legendary Fatou Gueye has passed away. Laity Sene, who was co-presenting this show was called during the live broadcast to be told that Fatou has passed away. Instead of telling his co-presenters, he handed over to his wife to join us on the broadcast as he went straight to the house of Fatou Gueye, but before leaving told his wife Hawa not to tell the Seereer Radio team until the end of the show so not to spoil celebratory mood. Hawa kept to her promise and didn't tell the co-presenters about the sad news until towards the end of the show. The passing of Fatou Gueye was broadcast live on Seereer Radio to everyone's shock and disbelief. With regret, this sad news was first broken on Seereer Radio. On Friday, 6th January 2017 at 14:24, the Seereer Resource Centre (SRC) and Seereer Radio issued a joint tribute on the sad passing of Fatou Gueye on their Facebook pages. which reads:
"The Seereer Resource Centre and Seereer Radio are sad to announce the passing of the legendary Fatou Gueye, who sadly passed away yesterday. The sad news was broken live on Seereer Radio's first anniversary special programme last night.
Fatou Gueye was a brilliant artist who worked diligently over the years to preserve and promote Seereer and Senegambian cultural heritage and identity. She was a highly talented artist with a long career especially within the Nguel. Only about a month ago, Seereer Radio's Cosaan Seereer team were planning to have her on the Cosaan Seereer Show, and arrangements were being made to accommodate that.
The Seereer and Senegambian community have lost a great artist and a wonderful human being. The SRC and Seereer Radio teams would like to offer our sincere and heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. May her beautiful soul rest in perfect peace.
Goliŋ."
